Volunteering is a great way to support the refuge! The Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge could not accomplish its many projects and programs without the assistance of dedicated volunteers.

There are a variety of volunteer opportunities at the refuge, such as helping with Visitor Services, Environmental Education, Maintenance and many other positions for different types of interests. All volunteers are provided with necessary training and uniforms for the positions.

Volunteer positions are open for the Friends of Okefenokee. We are currently seeking volunteers for National Public Lands Day in September and Pioneer Day in November as well as volunteers for other projects.
